In this article I show data which is missing during the hearings, and probably will be. This data is important to calculate the radiation dose the sailors and others got, and during the VENTING process taking place in all three TEPCO reactors. I do not believe in the meltdown. I believe the units were vented over weeks (melting, venting, melting, venting), to overcome the pressure and getting rid of it (=inventory=fuel), to avoid destruction by explosion. It is the principle of a pressure cooker everyone knows.

With a containment (like in Boiling Water Reactors of General Elctric / TEPCO) a reactor cooks the core and delivers it controlled to the outside. This also stopps the chain reaction. The steam relief valcvs are use. The core is vented piece by pieces. As a whole. But without a violent explosion. If you do not vent it, then the explosion will be violent.
