August 8th 2008, according to Swiss Leibstadt officials, two workers have been contaminated with radiation in the swiss atomic power plant Leibstad (Source) during the yearly revision of the plant. The accident took part in the primary part of the plant. The workers wore protective masks which were by the book. Both workers inhaled radioactive aerosol. The release was realised by the space air surveillance which caused an alert. Both workers went through the incorporation control inside of the Leibstad atomic power plant. At the present moment the health of the two workers was not harmed. This is the 8th atomic scandal in Europe in only one month.
I translated the press release by Leibstad website. What do you think about the differences in handling contaminated workers in France and Switzerland?
EdF sends their contaminated workers home – without incorporation control. This is a scandal itself!
But they (Switzerland and France) also share a common value: Radiation never harms the health. It’s magic.
Atomic industy – wasting your health today!
