Most Europeans don’t want atomic power – according to a poll, made by the European Commission web. Even so, France gets a new pressurized water reactor (PWR) – info see HERE.
This PWR atomic reactor is of a French-German kind. These news were confirmed by French President Sarkozy. Parts of the PWR atomic reactor will be build in the Acelor steel plant web – part of Mittal.
Another PWR will be build in Finland – funded by the Bavarian Bank – with 2000,000,000 EUROs. This is the location: image / map.
France gets 77% out of atomic power. The French state concern EdF (Eléctricité de France) web takes over the new PWR. Before the news were public, EdF still hasn’t seen the need for more atomic reactors – although EdF is the biggest atomic reactor operator and pro-lobbyist in Europe. This is a sign for the attempt to start atomic renaissance.
From 2012 on they also want a new PWR in Flamanville map. The new big concern GDF Suez web also wants to operate this atomic power plant. This new atomic reactor is build by Areva NP web. Areva is a daughter of EdF. Siemens holds 34 % of Areva. 34? Yes, that’s exactly the efficiency of atomic reactos. GDF Suez also wants to operate two atomic reactors in the Emirian countries.
More and more people are willing to share an unsafe future, because of high oil prices. The tolerance and acceptance will grow for atomic power and global risc and energy wars. The concerns and lame ducks play with fear and only seed new one. Uranium which is needed for atomic power plants can only be hold less expensive with high subsidies – paid by us. No doubt, the price will rise.
So far it looks interesting. But it is somekind of dirty – have a look at French atomic news:
