Toshiba wants to build 65 new atomic reactors

On June 29th 2008 Toshiba announced their plan to build 65 new atomic reactors. The CEO of Toshiba web told the press to build at least 33 new atomic reactors till 2015 and 65 till 2020. In 2006 Toshiba bought the U.S. company Westinghouse web -  U.S. atomic reactor builder. Now, Toshiba is No. #1 atomic reactor builder, before Areva web

Here are the other global plans:

McCain wants to build 45 new atomic power plants

IEA wants 1,300 new atomic power plants (32 each year)

Basically they want to build atomic power plants to do something against climate change (which already happened and happens). But atomic energy is NOT green energy -

U.S. radioactive waste disposals – Problems part 1

Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory – 11,9 tons of steel cylinders full of spent U.S. atomic reactor fuel – kills in minutes. No permanent repository. map

Yucca Mountain, NV – the choice for U.S. high-level atomic waste – has been studied for over 20 years by the Department of Energy [web] – map - at a cost of US $ 4,000,000,000. Going to business in 2010, maybe. Could hold 77,000 tons of waste. Will be safe for 10,000 years according to DOE.gov. But the high-level waste is dangerous for a million years. Problem 1

Rocky Flats, CO - map - former U.S. weapons plant / closed 1989. Plutonium was slated elsewhere. Being transported with trucks over Interstate 25 to the waste isolation pilot plant near Carlsbad map - can be filled with 850,000 drums – full of transuranic waste by 2035. Pilot project – Problem 2

Officials from eight U.S. atomic power plants have signed a lease with Goshute Indians to store spent fuel in Skull Valley, Utah – map - it is planned to store there 44,000 tons of spent fuel. Is this a good deal regarding Problem 1 & 2? Problem 3

Paducah, KY – map - a gaesous diffusion plant for atomic-fuel processing. Groundwater is tainted because of 38,000 cylinders being stored there. Problem 4

Los Alamos National Laboratory, NM – map - haphazard disposal. Problem 5

Nevada Test site – map - craters by atomic bomb explosions – waste disposals for radioactive waste. More than 800 craters. Are these good disposals? Problem 6

Do you know the first underground disposal for radioactive waste? It’s the Asse II in Germany – lately in the news with some serious scandal – click HERE for more - Asse II is called a ticking timebomb – with Plutonium measured 8 times above the limit. Oh, ehm, Problem 7 by the way. What does that mean for the U.S.?

Worldwide atomic energy consumption in 2001: 2,3 %

Achieved with 439 atomic power plants – that’s 439 times 2,000,000,000 EUROs.

Atomic power covers only a 10th of energy consumption in Germany.

In the 1960ies atomic power providers told the people: Power meters will be unneeded in the atomic power future.

Atomic power will be unneeded in the future.

Why are there soldiers in:

Afghanistan, the Caucasus Mountains, on the Balkan, in Sudan, Congo, in Iraq, and soon in Iran?

Uranium will be much more expensive and rare in an atomic power future and the consumption of atomic power will generate energy wars like the world has never seen before.

is a step into an unsafe world of conflict.

Atomic power world energy consumption: 6 %

According to a poll under Austrians Source politicians estimate the share of atomic energy on worldwide energy consumption on 35 %, the youth on 54 %.

The true share of atomic power on world energy consumption is

6 %.

6 % with 439 atomic power plants worldwide!

6 % with 439 times 2,000,000,000 EUROs!

Contergan and Chernobyl – what IAEA doesn’t want you to know

The teratological effects of Radiation were proven by studies of Etienne Wolff in the 1930ies, in Strasbourg.  I want to remember the Thalidomid / Contergan-suit, where doctors and experts of the sued company said, there are no registers and so there are no evidences of the link between Contergan and malformation. It’s the same with Radiation and Chernobyl. In fact, there is a register in Belarus. Teratology is not limited just on Chernobyl. Similar detections were made in Rajasthan / India near atomic power plants – by Mrs. Hesse-Hornegger.

Normal operating atomic power plants are teratological and mutagen.

Basically the pro-atomic-power-lobby defends it’s ideology with the Principle of Substantial Equivalent. That’s usually the base for their research and sale of pro-atomic-power-ideology (IAEA). Then they have their physicists who decide over cases and decide which one is valid. It’s not the medics who do that inside of the IAEA. A clever system isn’t it?

The IAEA wants to ignore the proven effects by Mueller (his work: Source ) of low radiation (emitted by peaceful atomic power plants) and the KiKK Study from 2007.
